Reviews
First things first, the service here is great, very quick and kind. I love hearing the waitress’s recommendation too. I had an Irish Stew (yeah at an Italian restaurant!) and it was superb! Their pasta is fresh, tasty and great portion. The tiramisu tasted just like it the ones from Italy.
The atmosphere is gorgeous here and the food is superb. I had the porterhouse veal cooked perfectly! The staff was so nice and accommodating. My mother and I were so comfortable and had such a good time. They give you u lots of food and all of it was exceptional. Definitely will be coming back soon. Our waiter’s name was Zach; he was so personable and attentive.
Great atmosphere, cute indoor decoration, and we were able to get a table without reservation when we walked in a little before 7pm on Sunday. When we ordered salad for the table, it came in a small plate for each person at the table, which was really cute. The Caesar salad was delicious, and the fries were great. However, all the taste of the linguine alle vongole was from the salt of the clams, and the pasta itself was quite bland. Also, the seat pad I sat on was sinking, making me 2 inches shorter. For the entire duration of our dining experience, I felt like I was gradually “engulfed” by the chair. When I pointed it out nicely to the waiter after check, I received a simple response “yeah some chairs had that problem.” I would wish they could switch out those chairs for their customers’ comfort.
In the heart of Pittsburgh, PA, lies Lucca Restaurante, a culinary gem that promises an exceptional dining experience. From the moment I stepped through its doors, I was greeted with warm hospitality by the friendly and attentive server, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening of gastronomic delight.
The true star of the show at Lucca Restaurante was undoubtedly the cuisine. Each dish was a masterful composition of flavors, showcasing the chef's impeccable skill and attention to detail. One particular standout was the White Truffle Pappardelle—a dish that transcended ordinary expectations and left me yearning for more. The rich aroma of the white truffle infused the velvety handmade pappardelle, creating a harmonious symphony of taste that was nothing short of heavenly. The pasta itself was perfectly cooked, maintaining a delightful al dente texture that paired exquisitely with the earthy truffle notes. This dish alone was worth the visit to Lucca Restaurante.
Beyond the exceptional cuisine, the overall dining experience at Lucca Restaurante was elevated by the genuine care and attentiveness of the staff. The server's warmth and knowledge of the menu added an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal, ensuring that every detail was catered to. The combination of friendly service, mouthwatering dishes, and a cozy ambiance made Lucca Restaurante a true culinary haven in Pittsburgh.
In conclusion, Lucca Restaurante in Pittsburgh, PA, is a must-visit for any food enthusiast seeking an extraordinary dining experience. From the delightful ambiance to the outstanding service, every aspect of the restaurant was designed to enchant guests. But it was the White Truffle Pappardelle, with its irresistible flavors and impeccable execution, that truly stole the show. Lucca Restaurante sets the standard for culinary excellence, leaving patrons craving another taste of their sensational offerings.
We picked this restaurant on a whim while putting together our itinerary for our annual Pittsburgh trip.
Easy to find & street parking is free. Our server was super kind & provided good feedback on the menu when asking for recommendations.
When initially searching through the website, we were drawn to the picture of the cast-iron skillet with several meatballs, bathing in marinara sauce. That drew us in! The apple cider martini was pretty good. Having the picture of the meatball dish in our head, we ordered meatballs as our appetizer. The appetizer was a little deceiving but still good.
It came with garlic bread, but unfortunately the bread was not toasted so the overall dish was to die for. But a solid 3 out of 5.
Our entrees were the redemption! So well done and well seasoned. The only thing I would be picky about is the beef short rib & Parmesan risotto was a tad bit garlicky.
Dessert was good! Overall good safe choice for Italian dining in Pittsburgh.
The Italian food was authentic and exquisite. Fresh bread brought out right away with oil & balsamic. Each of 5 at our table ordered different entree. Seafood, pasta, sauces all perfectly seasoned and delicious. Great food and service!
As out of towners, we took a chance on a restaurant sight unseen. We made a great choice. The food was great, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the service that Danna provided was exemplary. She was attentive to our food and drink needs, and spent a lot of time with us telling us about the vicinity and the schools in the area. Highly recommend this restaurant. Thanks, Danna!
Danna our server was absolutely fantastic! She delivered TOP NOTCH service! We are new to the area and asked for suggestions on what to order and she was able to let us know all of the details about each selection we chose. I selected the Chicken Alfredo and it was amazing. So flavorful and delicious. Definitely a place to check out!
